a petite filet mignon, with roasted garlic mashed potatoes and green beans. My wife opted for a five-ounce center cut beef tenderloin. For my entree, I chose veal parmigiana, breaded and sauteed and topped with melted cheese and served with linguini, spinach, tomato, scallion and garlic butter with fresh romano. On this occasion, we started with bowls of lobster bisque and New England clam chowder and Caesar salad with parmesan, croutons and creamy Caesar dressing. Open from 3:30 to 9 Monday through Saturday, it offers patio dining and a wood bar and never seems to run out of locals and tourists, like us. One of our favorites is Lazy Lobster on Longboat Key, at 5350 Gulf of Mexico Drive, in the Centre Shops of Longboat Key shopping mall. restaurants of every variety, steaks and chops, French and Italian, plenty of fresh seafood. During our annual 33-day vacation, my wife and I never run out of good. I have often written that Sarasota, Florida, for its size, is one of the finest restaurant towns I have experienced in more than 40 years of traveling from coast to coast.
